Membership
Membership dues are paid annually. The membership year is from April 1 to March 31. Dues for
Regular and Associate members are based on their gross annual sales. The mandatory branch/store
membership only applies if you have more than one place of business. All members are welcome and encouraged to
attend their home chapter meetings.
Company Memberships:
Regular Membership
Firms who own or are engaged in operating a nursery business in California
Associate Membership
Firms allied to horticulture based in or out of California
Out-of-State Membership
Retail Garden Centers or Grower Nurseries engaged in operating a nursery business located outside of
California
International Membership
Firms or individuals located outside of the United States, including Mexico and Canada
Additional Memberships:
Affiliate Membership
Employees of Regular or Associate member firms in California
CCN Pro™ Membership
Employees of regular or associate member firms in California who are an active CCN Pro through
maintenance of their certification status as required by the CCN Pro Committee
CCN Pro™ Membership (Non-Member Firm)
Employees of a non-member firm who are an active CCN Pro through maintenance of their certification
status may apply for this membership category and receive a limited number of benefits.
Education / Research / Garden Writer Membership
Individuals involved in education, research or garden writing (verification required).
Student Membership
Any student of a high school, 2- or 4-year institutions (enrollment verification required).
College/University Nursery Membership
Any 2- or 4-year college or university that offers education in the field of horticulture and maintains
a nursery operation on its campus, either retail or grower (contact must be the head of the
horticulture department unless appointed by the college/university).
Privileged Membership
Must be retired from the nursery industry and requires an annual minimum donation of $50 to the
CANERS Foundation Endowment for Research and Scholarship
